Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Chicken Alfredo Pasta is a classic Italian dish that is loved by people of all ages. The creamy, rich sauce and tender chicken combined with the comforting pasta make it a dish that is both satisfying and comforting. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can easily make this restaurant-quality dish right in your own kitchen.

Ingredients:

1 pound of fettuccine pasta

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons of olive oil

4 cloves of garlic, minced

2 cups of heavy cream

1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon of dried basil

1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

Start by boiling a large pot of salted water for the pasta. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water before draining the pasta.

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, dried basil, dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper to the skillet. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.

Return the chicken to the skillet and stir to combine.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is coated in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little of the reserved pasta water to thin it out.

Serve the Chicken Alfredo Pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
